Now for the update:

The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) reported on Wednesday (June 5th) that the previously escaped prisoner, Chaowalit Thongduang, also known as ‘Pang Nanod’ arrived at Don Mueang International Airport in Bangkok on a Royal Thai Police Airplane.

He was escorted to the Bang Kwang Central Prison in Nonthaburi by the Hanuman Special Forces Unit, with law enforcement taking no chances due to the two previous successful escape attempts by Pang and the fact he has a significant network of sympathizers, especially in South Thailand.

Pang has appeared surprisingly relaxed and calm despite his arrest, even seen joking with Indonesian police and smiling on video and photos. This has done nothing to relax Thai officials who have utilised hundreds of police officers and teams to bring Pang to prison.

Pang had previously been in prison in South Thailand, closer to his home, but will now stay in a maximum security area at Bang Kwang Central Prison, according to the Ministry of Justice, where it is less likely that he would have the same level of influence he had before.
