Thai Department of Airports Seeks New Airline Partnerships at Successful IATA Slot Conference

On June 15th, 2024, Mr. Narong Arunphakmongkol, the Director of the Airport Business Promotion Division, and relevant agencies attended the 154th IATA Slot Conference in Bogota, Colombia, to manage the winter flight schedule for 2024/2025.

The IATA Slot Conference provided a platform for international airlines and airports to coordinate their flight schedules for the upcoming winter season. Representatives from the Thai Department of Airports joined nine international airlines to allocate flight schedules at Krabi International Airport, ensuring alignment with network and rotation plans, according to Narong.

Additionally, Thai officials presented the Krabi International Airport development plan set to begin in 2024, aimed at supporting increased flight capacity and enhancing overall efficiency for passengers and airlines. 

Information about Surat Thani and other international airports under the Department of Airports was also shared for potential flight plans.

Narong remarked that the conference was highly successful, enabling Thai airport officials to exchange valuable information with international airline operators and extend invitations to those interested in operating under the Department of Airports in Thailand.
