Kanchanaburi —
At 2:00 AM, on June 27th, 2024, Kanchanaburi immigration officers and relevant agencies intercepted a group of 25 illegal immigrants crossing the Thai border in Sangkhlaburi, Kanchanaburi.
Kanchanaburi police received reports of numerous foreign immigrants hiding in a forest in Sangkhlaburi. In response, officers stationed at Prang Plo Intersection, along with relevant agencies, were dispatched to investigate.
Upon arrival, the officers discovered the group hiding near Vajiralongkorn Dam Reservoir. As a result, more than 25 individuals were captured.
The immigrants, lacking legal documentation, reportedly confessed through an interpreter that they were seeking jobs in Central Thailand and were awaiting pickup by Thai individuals.
All 25 individuals were escorted to the Sangkhlaburi police station for further deportation and legal proceedings.
Their names and ages were not released to TPN Media.
