Bangkok — Thai Immigration authorities apprehended a Japanese national, identified only as Mr. Miyoshi, in the Khlong Toei district of Bangkok. The arrest came after a tip-off regarding his illegal stay in Thailand. Mr. Miyoshi, aged 43, was also found to have overstayed his visa.
Further investigation revealed a startling criminal history. Mr. Miyoshi was allegedly involved in 111 theft cases across five areas in Japan last year, resulting in damages totaling approximately three million Baht. Authorities also believe he was the head of a notorious theft gang and a motorbike gang in Japan.
The Royal Thai Immigration Bureau coordinated with the Japanese Embassy to verify Mr. Miyoshi’s identity and criminal record. Following his arrest at a condominium in Pawet, he awaits deportation.
This incident sheds light on the complexities of international crime and the cooperation between law enforcement agencies across borders.
The case also underscores the importance of vigilant immigration checks to maintain security and uphold legal standards.
