Thailand –

Lalisa ‘Lisa’ Manoban has stunned the world with her new song ‘Rockstar’. Most of the scenes in the music video were recorded in Thailand, especially in the historic Yaowarat area in Bangkok.

The music video, which is 2.48 minutes long, was released on Friday at 7:00 A.M. Bangkok time (June 28th) via the LLOUD Official Youtube channel. The video has been viewed with more than 33 million views after only after 24 hours as of press time and is still rapidly growing in popularity and views.

Most of the scenes in the music video were recorded in Thailand. One of the famous places pictured is Yaowarat, Bangkok’s China town at night. Many of her Thai fans are glad that Lisa has promoted Thailand to the world, often called Soft Power by the Thai Government.

Lisa continues to be a soft power for Thailand, promoting the country to the world in a positive way, along with other popular soft power items like Muay Thai and Songkran, the Thai New Year. Lisa is also branching into acting this year, expanding her portfolio, as we reported here.

Lisa, 27, is a famous Thai-born K-pop singer who was previously mainly known as Lisa Blackpink. Although she remains a member of global K-pop hit group Blackpink, she has also started her own label and has a blossoming solo music career as arguably Thailand’s most popular music artist and celebrity.

Rockstar is the first song produced by Lisa’s own music company Lloud Co. in a joint effort with a famous music company in the United States of America, RCA Records.

The video is also expected to significantly increase tourism, especially domestic Thai tourism, to the Yaowarat area as many Lisa fans are expected to go to visit the locations where the video was filmed.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand has even released a guide, see below, on how to get to Yaowarat and has been actively encouraging tourists to visit the area and eat at the many restaurants and explore the local shops in the wake of the video.
