Update: Burmese Worker Arrested After Crashing Stolen Pickup, Injuring Seven People in Nonthaburi

At 2:00 PM, on June 28th, 2024, Bang Bua Thong police received a report of a suspicious individual sleeping on a hammock inside a cement manufacturer on Bang Kruai-Sai Noi Road in Bang Bua Thong, Nonthaburi.

Earlier, a Burmese worker had allegedly stolen a pickup truck and crashed into seven individuals, including two 14-year-olds who suffered severe injuries, on Bang Kruai-Sai Noi Road.

The Burmese suspect reportedly had fled the scene on foot immediately after the crash.

Upon arrival, the suspect, who was found in an intoxicated state, publicly identified as Mr. Yan Kyaw Oo, told the police he had been drinking with friends and was asked to drive to buy more drinks. He claimed to remember nothing until waking up at the cement manufacturer.

Initially, the police took the Burmese suspect to Chaiyaphruek police station for further interrogation and legal proceedings.
