They are in no particular order of importance but roughly in order of publishing. These are from Monday, July 1st to Sunday July 7th, 2024.

  1. Kamala Police received a distress call regarding a foreign man who became stuck with a parasail on a high pine tree at Kamala Beach.

2. Two Egyptians, a Pakistani, and a Russian man were arrested in a Phuket overstay crackdown.

Immigration officers have also warned accommodation operators on reporting stay of foreigners within 24 hours. Otherwise, they shall face legal actions too.

3. Thailand’s Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin arrived in Thalang on Friday (July 5th) to follow up on an underpass construction project at the Heroine Monument.

4. Thailand’s Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin visited Kamala, a recently severely flooded area in Phuket, with orders to improve flood prevention measures in the area.

He plans to extend the existing “Flood Ways” or water drainages, which are currently too small and shallow to effectively handle the water flow.

5. Chaos erupted on Patong Hill in Phuket Province. A foreigner had stolen a car and collided head-on with a van while speeding.

The foreigner was not immediately identified and some reports from witnesses said that the man appeared to be intoxicated or on illegal drugs and was incoherent and confused.
