Cypriot Man Arrested in Bangkok for Allegedly Stalking Ex-Girlfriend

Bangkok —

Immigration officers from the Immigration Bureau 1 arrested a 36-year-old Cypriot man for allegedly stalking and breaking into a condominium room of his ex-girlfriend in Nakhon Pathom province.

The arrest took place at a hotel in the Racha Thewi district of Bangkok on Friday, July 12th, 2024. The arrest came after the immigration officers found that the suspect, identified only as Mr. Nicholas, was wanted on an arrest warrant issued by the Nakhon Pathom Provincial Court for allegedly committing burglary and property damage at night.

It was reported that Mr. Nicholas had been allegedly stalking his ex-girlfriend by repeatedly sneaking into her condominium and waiting for her in the lobby. He was also found to have tampered with the automatic door of his ex-girlfriend’s condominium room.

Upon his arrest, Mr. Nicholas reportedly confessed to the charges and admitted to his stalking behavior. He briefly resisted the arresting officers but was quickly subdued.

During a search of his body, immigration officers found a stamp from the Cyprus Consulate in Thailand in his possession. The officers seized the stamp for further investigation, as they believed it might be counterfeit.

Mr. Nicholas is in custody as of press time.
