Thailand Sends 79 Athletes to Compete in 15 Sports at Paris Paralympics

The official opening ceremony of the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris will take place on August 29, 2024, at 12:40 AM (Thailand time).

The nearly three-hour event will begin with a “Parade of the People” from the Arc de Triomphe along the famous Champs-Élysées, featuring 184 delegations from around the world, including over 6,000 athletes and officials.

The formal parade will be held at Place de la Concorde, directed by Thomas Jolly, who also directed the Paris 2024 Olympics opening ceremony.

The Paris 2024 Paralympics, running from August 28 to September 8, will feature 549 events across 22 sports. Thailand will be represented by 79 athletes competing in 15 sports, including table tennis, wheelchair racing, athletics, badminton, shooting, wheelchair fencing, taekwondo, swimming, archery, rowing, canoeing, weightlifting, cycling, wheelchair tennis, boccia, and judo.
