Lopburi —
At 3:30 PM on August 31st, 2024, Tha Hin police officers received a report of an 18-year-old man who was fatally attacked by three American Bully dogs inside his home in Mueang Lopburi.
The incident occurred in a ground-floor bedroom where the victim (whose name was withheld by the police) was found lifeless on his bed with multiple bite marks on his face, arms, and legs. The scene was chaotic, with bloodstains throughout the house, and it is believed he had been dead for over 12 hours, according to the police.
Initial investigations revealed that the victim was alone at home the previous night. CCTV footage captured him at around 8:00 PM playing with his older brother’s three American Bully dogs, which were about two years old and had been brought from Bangkok a week earlier.
The dogs suddenly turned aggressive, chasing him from the second floor to his bedroom, where he was fatally attacked. The victim’s mother and brother discovered the body upon returning home, with the dogs still in the bedroom.
The victim’s brother, who owned the dogs, stated that he had brought them from Bangkok due to frequent travels between Lopburi and Bangkok. The dogs had reportedly shown no signs of aggression before, and the victim often played with them. However, it’s suspected that the dogs may have become territorial or were unfamiliar with the victim, leading to the tragic event, according to the police.
The body has been sent to the Phra Narai Hospital for an autopsy, and the police are conducting further investigations.
