North —
On October 4th, 2024, the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) announced temporary changes to northern train routes due to rising floodwaters in Chiang Mai.
Three express trains will see adjustments in their starting and ending stations as follows:
- Train No. 7 Bangkok Apiwat – Chiang Mai: Adjusted to Bangkok Apiwat – Lamphun
- Train No. 10 Chiang Mai – Bangkok Apiwat: Adjusted to Lamphun – Bangkok Apiwat
- Train No. 14 Chiang Mai – Bangkok Apiwat: Adjusted to Lamphun – Bangkok Apiwat
Shuttle buses will transport passengers between Lamphun and Chiang Mai stations, as well as Chiang Mai’s old Arcade Bus Station.
Passengers affected by the flood can request a full ticket refund at any SRT station. For further assistance, the 24-hour hotline 1690 is available.
However, Chiang Mai International Airport remains operational despite the city floods, noted TPN.
