On October 28th, 2024, Samut Prakan City FC’s management issued a statement addressing recent rumors, firmly denying plans to disband the team.

The announcement follows former manager Lakakorn “Pai” Chantharamane’s remarks about dissolving the club after a turbulent match against Pattaya United on October 26th at Lat Krabang’s Customs Stadium.

Samut Prakan City confirmed that both parties had mutually agreed for Lakakorn to step down as manager effective immediately.

In an open apology, the club expressed regret to the Football Association of Thailand, sponsors, and fans, including supporters of opposing teams. Club officials emphasized that Samut Prakan City belongs to the people of Samut Prakan and carries immense local pride, making disbandment inconceivable.

The club reaffirmed its dedication to fight on for its fans, with all players and staff committed to preserving the club’s reputation and integrity.

The statement closed by asking fans and supporters for continued support, expressing the hope to rebuild trust, improve club operations, and move forward in Thai football with a renewed sense of professionalism and accountability.
