At 6:30 AM on November 5th, 2024, Song police officers in Phrae responded to a major accident on the Song-Ngao Road involving a bus carrying 48 passengers and a trailer truck.
Rescue units from over 20 organizations were dispatched to the scene, where they found the bus had veered off the road and collided with a tree. Emergency crews had to use heavy equipment to prevent the bus from sliding into a ravine.
According to the police, 10 passengers were seriously injured, and all injured individuals were transported to nearby hospitals. The bus had departed from Bangkok’s Mo Chit bus terminal and was en route to Chiang Saen in Chiang Rai.
According to the police, the accident occurred on a downhill curve when the bus collided with a truck from Lampang. Authorities are investigating the incident, while transport officials assisted passengers with minor injuries, allowing them to continue their journey after receiving first aid.
The police are set to question both drivers regarding the accident before taking further legal action.
