Narathiwat —
On November 5th, 2024, Su-ngai Kolok investigative police in Narathiwat reported the arrest of a well-known Malaysian singer, Wan Norshaheeda Azlin Binti Wan Ismail, also widely known as Eda Ezrin among teenagers, along with five associates.
The group, all Malaysian nationals, were caught with 6,060 methamphetamine pills inside a hotel room in Su-ngai Kolok, Narathiwat, on November 1st, 2024, at 3:30 AM.
The 28-year-old singer, famous for her hit song Cinta Setandan Pisang, was arrested alongside Mohamad Alif bin Deraman, Mohd Affendi bin Ahmad, Nur Aida binti Mamat, Erdieka bin Mohd Noor, and Zuhaira Nasrin.
The group was taken into custody, and the drugs were sent to the Forensic Science Center in Yala for examination.
Investigators are awaiting the results to determine if any of the suspects will claim ownership of the drugs. If none confess, authorities will reportedly gather evidence to forward the case to the prosecutor for trial, according to Thai national media.
Legal experts suggest that bail for the group is unlikely due to the high risk of flight, as they may attempt to flee across the border to Malaysia, according to Thai national media.
