Update: Triple Murder Suspect in Nong Bua Lamphu Surrenders After Police Pressure

On November 28th, 2024, Thai authorities successfully apprehended Mr. Samart, 57, the suspect in a triple murder in Si Bun Rueang District, Nong Bua Lamphu. After fleeing into the forest overnight, he surrendered following negotiations.

Si Bun Rueang police reported that Samart, accused of shooting three people while under the influence of drugs, contacted his wife mid-morning, requesting food and promising to disarm.

Authorities coordinated his surrender by delivering a meal and ensuring his safety during the process, according to Thai national media.

By 12:50 PM, Samart was taken into custody as he descended from the forested hills where he had been hiding. Si Bun Rueang police continue their investigation into the tragic incident.

He did not immediately speak to reporters about the circumstances behind the shocking incident.
