On December 1st, 2024, the 7th Amazing Thailand Marathon Bangkok by Toyota took place at Sanam Luang, attracting over 33,000 participants.
The event featured a royal highlight as Her Majesty the Queen joined world marathon icon Eliud Kipchoge in the 10-kilometer race.
Kipchoge, a two-time Olympic gold medalist and record-breaking marathoner, participated as Thailand’s “Ambassador of Sports, Tourism, and Culture.”
Thai-American runner Kieran Tuntivate thrilled fans by winning the 10-kilometer race with a time of 29:06 minutes, breaking his own record set at the Bangsaen 10K in 2022.
In the marathon (42.195 km), Tariku Bekele of Ethiopia claimed victory with a time of 2:16:42, while Nattawut Innum was the fastest Thai, finishing 7th at 2:28:14.
The half marathon (21.1 km) saw Kennedy Njogu of Kenya top the leaderboard with 1:03:44, and Nattawut again emerged as the best Thai, placing 8th with 1:08:26.
