His Majesty the King Extends Aid to Nakhon Si Thammarat Flood Victims

PRESS RELEASE:

His Majesty the King has graciously extended relief to flood-affected residents in Nakhon Si Thammarat province through the distribution of royal aid packages. At a ceremony held at the Nakhon Si Thammarat District Office, Privy Councillor Gen Dapong Ratanasuwan, in collaboration with the Rajaprajanugroh Foundation Under the Royal Patronage, presented 3,000 relief packages for adults and 150 for children to local authorities for further distribution to those in need.

The severe flooding, which began on November 21, has caused widespread damage across 16 districts, affecting over 62,000 households and displacing 169,000 residents. The disaster has disrupted education, with 47 schools impacted, and has devastated agriculture, damaging 217,127 rai of cropland and substantial livestock and aquaculture resources. Assessments of public utility damage are ongoing as recovery efforts continue throughout the province.

Following the ceremony, Gen Dapong visited Phosadet subdistrict to personally deliver royal relief packages to additional households. The outreach represents a coordinated effort to provide immediate aid and alleviate the hardships faced by communities struggling with the aftermath of the disaster.

Although Thung Song district has fully recovered, officials reported that restoration efforts are still ongoing in other areas.
