Nationwide Crime Crackdown in Thailand Aims to Ensure Tourist Confidence During Festive Season

At 4:30 PM on December 24th, 2024, Pol. Maj. Gen. Phanumas Bunyalak, the acting commissioner of the Royal Thai Immigration Bureau, led over 200 officers in a crime crackdown operation at Suvarnabhumi Airport.

The initiative is part of nationwide efforts to ensure safety and boost confidence among tourists during the Christmas and New Year holidays, aligning with the “Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year 2025” campaign.

Similar operations are being conducted in key tourist destinations, including Bangkok’s CentralWorld, Chiang Mai’s Three Kings Monument, Nong Khai’s Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge, Songkhla’s Hat Yai Park, and Pattaya Beach in Chonburi.
