On December 28th, 2024, the Thai Meteorological Department issued a forecast for December 29th to January 3rd, 2025.
Starting December 29, a new high-pressure system from China will bring a drop in temperatures across upper Thailand, with the northeast seeing a 2–4°C decrease, and the central region, Bangkok, eastern Thailand, and upper southern Thailand experiencing a 1–3°C dip.
Strong northeast monsoon winds over the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea will intensify rainfall in the south, with heavy rain in some areas.
