On January 20th, 2025, Thai immigration police arrested a 26-year-old French national in Bangkok for allegedly sharing explicit videos and inviting women to participate in sexual acts, tarnishing Thailand’s image.
Thai authorities, acting on a tip-off, raided the suspect’s luxury condo in Chatuchak. The man, identified as a university student, admitted to creating and sharing the content, which featured explicit scenes involving Thai women. Electronic devices and sex toys, which are illegal in Thailand, were reportedly seized as evidence.
The suspect reportedly confessed to the actions, claiming they were out of recklessness but said he had allegedly stopped over a year ago.
He faces charges under Thailand’s Computer Crimes Act and laws against distributing obscene material.
