On January 29th, 2025, the Board of Investment (BOI) approved three major projects worth over 170 billion baht in its first meeting of 2025.

The investments include two large-scale digital infrastructure projects: a Data Hosting center by TikTok’s parent company, which will install high-performance servers in Bangkok, Samut Prakan, and Chachoengsao (126.79 billion baht), and an AI Cloud Service by Siam AI Corporation, Thailand’s first NVIDIA Cloud Partner, with facilities in Chonburi and Pathum Thani (3.25 billion baht).

Additionally, a 40.4 billion-baht potassium chloride production project by Asia Pacific Potash Corporation was approved in Udon Thani to support the fertilizer industry.

BOI Secretary-General Narit Therdsteerasukdi noted that Thailand saw record digital investments in 2024, and the country is expected to attract more global tech firms this year as demand for AI and big data processing surges across ASEAN.
