NATIONAL, February 5th, 2025 – The Thai Meteorological Department has forecasted weather conditions for February 6th to 11th, with a shift in temperatures and wind patterns.
From February 6th to 7th, a weakening high-pressure system will bring warmer weather to northern Thailand, with morning fog and cooler temperatures in the north and northeast. Central, eastern, and southern regions will experience mild morning chills.
Rainfall in the south will decrease, while waves in the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea will remain moderate.
From February 8th to 11th, a strong cold front from China will sweep across upper Thailand, causing temperatures to drop by 3–5°C in the northeast and 2–4°C in other regions, including Bangkok. The strengthened northeastern monsoon will bring thunderstorms to the south and rough seas, with waves reaching 2–3 meters in the lower Gulf and over 3 meters during storms.
Authorities advise caution when traveling in foggy areas and warn of increased fire risks due to dry and windy conditions. Fishermen should avoid stormy areas, and small boats in the Gulf of Thailand are advised to stay ashore.
