Thailand Deports 10 Chinese Call Center Scam Suspects Linked to Chinese Actor Fraud Case

At 4:00 PM on February 14th, 2025, Thai Immigration Police deported 10 Chinese nationals linked to a call center scam operating in Myawaddy, Myanmar.

The suspects, involved in defrauding Chinese actor Wang Xing (also known as Xingxing), were handed over to Chinese authorities for prosecution. Thai authorities are working closely with the Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO) to trace and seize the gang’s assets.

The gang reportedly fled Myawaddy to Thailand after Thai authorities assisted Wang Xing, planning to relocate to Cambodia. They were arrested in Samut Prakan, Sing Buri, and Sukhothai for illegal entry and prosecuted in Thailand before deportation.

Investigations revealed the suspects had various roles, including managers, security staff, and call operators who posed as entertainment company employees to scam Chinese citizens.

The gang was led by Fei Ge, who has since been arrested in China. Thai authorities shared detailed information with Chinese police and confirmed that Fei Ge’s arrest involved confiscation of millions in assets.

Ongoing operations aim to dismantle related networks and prosecute collaborators, ensuring tighter border controls and surveillance against transnational crimes.
