Bangkok, February 20th, 2025 – Don Mueang police, along with relevant authorities, raided a building in Don Mueang, Bangkok, after discovering illegal gambling activities.
As officers stormed in, several gamblers fled through the front entrance, but 29 were apprehended. The venue consisted of three modified rooms, lined with egg cartons for soundproofing, with a misleading Thai sign that read: “Rental Room – No Gambling Allowed.”
Inside, authorities found CCTV cameras monitoring the games, with different rooms hosting Pok Deng (a Thai gambling card game), other card-based gambling, and Hi-Lo.
Seized items included gambling tables, walkie-talkies, over 10 CCTV cameras, monitors, playing cards, dice, and other gaming equipment. The suspects were charged with illegal gambling and handed over to Don Mueang police for further legal action.
This marks the third raid on the same location since 2024, with the previous bust in December arresting 141 gamblers. Despite security modifications, authorities remain committed to cracking down on illegal casinos in the area.
