Thailand Boosts Tourist Safety with Enhanced Security Measures

Thailand, February 24th, 2025 – Pol. Lt. Gen. Saksira Pueak-am, Commissioner of the Tourist Police, led a recent meeting to enhance tourist safety and security. The initiative aims to strengthen collaboration between government agencies and private sector partners to build confidence among visitors.

Authorities are integrating local tourism data, including accommodations, attractions, shopping areas, and crime-prone locations, under the Police 4.0 framework.

This includes linking emergency hotlines—Tourist Police 1155 and National Police 191—allowing foreign tourists to access assistance in eight languages more efficiently.

Additionally, strict law enforcement measures will be applied to offenders. Authorities will assess visa revocation for tourists involved in criminal activities.
