Four Foreign Tourists Fined for Smoking Cannabis on Pai Walking Street in Mae Hong Son

Four foreign tourists were fined for smoking cannabis on Pai’s Walking Street in Mae Hong Son province on March 9th.

The operation followed complaints from locals about a group of foreign tourists smoking cannabis on a public street, which could have harmful effects on others.

Led by Pol. Maj. Gen. Songkrit Onthakrai, Commander of Mae Hong Son Provincial Police, the operation resulted in the arrest of four foreigners, including one from Germany, one from the UK, one from France, and one from the Netherlands.

They were charged with causing a public nuisance by smoking cannabis in public spaces. The names of the offenders have been withheld by police.
