They are in no particular order of importance but roughly in order of publishing. These are from Monday, March 3rd to Sunday March 9th, 2024.

  1. A naughty monkey snatched a mobile phone from a foreign tourist before apparently, possibly accidentally, taking selfie photos at a hill in Rassada.

It’s unclear however if the selfies were by accident.

2. A fire engulfed a house at a housing estate in Raasada alarming local residents.

It has been reported that the fire started from a washing machine.

3. Karon Police were notified of the discovery of a female body in the afternoon on Wednesday (March 5th). Upon arrival at the beach near Karon Municipality, they found the body of a foreign woman.

Preliminary examination by a doctor suggested that the tourist may have died from heat stroke.

4. Chaotic scene unfolded on Bangla Road in Patong when two Israeli men intervened in an alleged attack on two Thai women by a group of transgender individuals, sparking a brawl that left multiple people injured.

The Patong Police have urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward.

5. Two German and Turkish men were arrested after they allegedly attacked a Russian man at a hotel in Patong over a dispute with a Finnish woman.

They claimed they met a female Finnish woman at an entertainment venue and went to her room just to drop her off and make sure she arrived home safely.
