Thai Police Raid Illegal Online Gambling Operation in Bangkok Condo

Bangkok, March 13th, 2025 — Thai police raided a condominium in Lat Phrao, Bangkok, after receiving reports of an illegal online gambling operation run by foreign nationals.

Authorities arrested one Chinese man and three Vietnamese nationals and seized eight laptops, six mobile phones, tablets, and Ledger Nano X cryptocurrency wallets used to store USDT.

Investigations revealed that the suspects managed a Chinese-language gambling website, receiving salaries in yuan equivalent to millions of baht.

The suspects reportedly admitted they were hired by a Chinese national to work as site admins, earning 50,000 baht per month. The seized devices will be analyzed by the Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau (CCIB) to track down other suspects.

The four suspects were charged with organizing illegal online gambling and failing to report their change of address within 24 hours under immigration law. They have been fined and are being held for further legal action.
