Thai Student Brawl at Bangkok Mall Leaves Five People Injured, Two Stabbed

Bangkok, at 7:16 PM on March 22nd, 2025 — Pathumwan Police received a report of a violent brawl between students from rival institutions at MBK Center, Bangkok.

The fight broke out on the mall’s sixth floor, where students from a prominent technical college and a university were involved in a chaotic clash. Security personnel and police quickly intervened to stop the violence, according to the police.

Five students were injured in the incident. One suffered a severe stab wound to the chest, another was stabbed in the back, and three others sustained minor injuries. All were rushed to Police General Hospital for emergency treatment. No bystanders or mall patrons were harmed, according to the police.

Pathumwan Police arrested suspects from both sides and are conducting further investigations to pursue legal action. MBK Center later issued a statement confirming the incident and denying reports of gunfire. The loud noise reported at the scene was caused by a metal-framed advertisement board falling to the ground. MBK Center apologized for the inconvenience and confirmed that the mall remains open as usual.
