Thailand, April 1st, 2025 — Deputy Government Spokesperson Anukool Pruksanusak announced that the Cabinet has approved a toll exemption on four key highways and expressways during the Songkran holiday.

The waiver will be in effect from 12:01 AM on April 11th to midnight on April 17th, aiming to ease traffic congestion as millions travel home during the long holiday from April 12th–16th.

The toll-free routes include:

  1. Motorway No. 7 (Bangkok–Ban Chang) – including key junctions at Bang Wua, Chonburi, Laem Chabang Port, Pattaya, and Ban Nong Prue.
  2. Motorway No. 9 (Bangkok Outer Ring Road) – covering Bang Pa-in to Bang Phli, as well as Phra Pradaeng to Bang Khae and Bang Khun Thian Interchange.
  3. Burapha Withi Expressway
  4. Kanchanaphisek Expressway (Bang Phli–Suksawat section)

The measure is intended to reduce travel costs, speed up journeys, and help lower air pollution caused by heavy traffic.
