Thailand, April 17th, 2025 — Chatchawan Promratham, Acting President of the Transport Co., Ltd. (BorKorSor), reported that 993,712 people traveled by BorKorSor and affiliated buses during the Songkran holiday from April 9th–16th.
A total of 55,973 trips were made, with the highest outbound traffic on April 11th (106,337 passengers) and the busiest return on April 16th (81,014 passengers).
The Northeast was the most popular destination, followed by the North and South. On April 16th alone, 130,640 passengers were recorded—49,626 outbound and 81,014 inbound.
There were no accidents involving BorKorSor buses. However, three incidents occurred with affiliated services, resulting in 31 injuries but no fatalities. BorKorSor emphasized continued safety awareness among staff and conducted strict vehicle and driver checks in cooperation with other agencies.
To improve connectivity, a central terminal at Krung Thep Aphiwat Station supported links to MRT, Red Line trains, BMTA buses, and taxis. Anticipating continued returns on April 19th–20th, BorKorSor is deploying over 4,000 buses to accommodate 80,000–90,000 passengers per day.
