Thailand, at 2:00 AM April 23rd, 2025 — A massive fire broke out at the two-story wooden spa building of the Dhara Dhevi Hotel in Chiang Mai’s Tha Sala Subdistrict.
Firefighters from 12 agencies, supported by 22 water trucks and multiple rescue foundations, battled the blaze until 5:00 AM, when it was finally brought under control.
Officials from Chiang Mai’s Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office, forensic teams, and local police are investigating the cause. According to the local Department of Public Works and Town & Country Planning, the building was privately owned, unoccupied, and posed no threat to nearby communities.
Water spraying continued throughout the day to prevent reignition. No injuries or fatalities have been reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
