Koh Phangan, April 29th, 2025 — Koh Phangan police responded to a report from local residents who witnessed a naked Polish couple hugging in the middle of a public road, seemingly unfazed by passing traffic or onlookers.
The pair was later spotted sunbathing nude on Ban Kai Beach in Moo 4. Officers arrived at the scene and found the man and woman lying naked on the sand.
They were instructed to dress and identified only as Mr. Michal, 27, and Ms. Klaudia, 24, both Polish nationals (both surnames withheld).
Police informed them that their actions violated Thai law. The couple were arrested and charged with public indecency for “shameful acts in public by exposing the body or engaging in obscene behavior.” They were taken to Koh Phangan Police Station for legal proceedings.
