Prime Minister Strengthens Military Morale During Border Security Visit

Thailand’s Prime Minister has traveled to the Thai-Cambodian border in Ubon Ratchathani province to monitor the security situation and boost the morale of military forces.

On June 20th, 2025, Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra visited the Morakot Operations Base in Nam Yuen District, Ubon Ratchathani. She was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Phumtham Wechayachai, and Secretary-General to the Prime Minister Prommin Lertsuridej.

The purpose of the visit was to get a firsthand assessment of the border situation, establish security guidelines, and determine measures to assist the local population.

During the visit, the Prime Minister met with soldiers from the Suranaree Task Force and provided them with supplies to boost their morale. The items were formally received by Second Army Region Commander, Lieutenant General Boonsin Phadklang, for distribution to the troops.
