ASEAN Leaders Announce Progress in Ceasefire Talks Between Cambodia and Thailand, Ceasefire Effective From Tomorrow

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, the current ASEAN Chair, announced positive developments in ceasefire negotiations. Thailand’s Acting Prime Minister Phumtham Wechayachai and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet have agreed to an immediate and unconditional ceasefire, effective from midnight and fully implemented by 7 a.m. tomorrow.

This breakthrough marks a big step toward de-escalating tensions in the region, with ASEAN leaders expressing optimism for continued dialogue to ensure lasting peace.
