Breaking: Royal Thai Army Releases Statement on Border Clash with Cambodia today:
The Royal Thai Army announced a border clash at the Thai-Cambodia border in Chong Anma, Ubon Ratchathani Province, after Cambodian troops fired small arms and grenade launchers into Thai territory, highlighting that Thai forces responded as per standard procedures.
Major General Winthai Suvaree, Army spokesperson, disclosed that at approximately 12:00-12:30 hours, the Royal Thai Army received reports from the 2nd Army Area indicating the detection of Cambodian troops utilizing small arms and grenade launchers to fire into Thai territory in the vicinity of Chong Anma, Ubon Ratchathani Province.
Currently, Suranaree Task Force has prepared its readiness and issued orders to conduct retaliatory fire in response to the situation.

The Army spokesperson noted that the Cambodian IOT has frequently conducted inspections in the aforementioned area. It is therefore anticipated that this constitutes an attempt to create circumstances and provoke Thai forces into retaliatory fire and offensive action, with the intention of utilizing such incidents as evidence to report to the Cambodian IOT that Thai forces have violated ceasefire measures.
At this time, there are no reports of Thai casualties or fatalities. Should additional details become available, they will be reported accordingly.
