Bomb Blast Outside Teahouse in Narathiwat Injures 14, Including Police Officers
Yingo District, Narathiwat – October 16, 2025.
A bomb explosion outside a teahouse in southern Thailand’s Narathiwat province injured 14 people on Thursday morning, including several police officers, in what authorities suspect was a targeted attack.

The blast occurred at approximately 8:50 a.m. near a teahouse on Ramkomut Road in Moo 1, in the Yingo district — not far from Wat Yingo, a local Buddhist temple. Police from Yingo Police Station were reportedly conducting operations in the area at the time of the explosion.
Emergency responders rushed the injured to Yingo Hospital, with several later transferred to Narathiwat Rajanagarindra Hospital for further treatment. The identities and conditions of the victims have not yet been disclosed.

Security forces quickly cordoned off the area, and bomb disposal units were deployed to inspect the scene for additional threats. Authorities are working to determine the type of explosive device used and whether the attack was premeditated to target law enforcement personnel.

In response to the incident, Narathiwat’s Provincial Relief and Rehabilitation Operations Center dispatched teams to provide immediate assistance to the injured. Acting Sub-Lieutenant Sapphasiri Sirisawat, head of the center, confirmed that officials are closely monitoring the victims’ recovery and will coordinate long-term support.
Authorities have urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious objects or behavior. Citizens can contact emergency services via hotline 1341 or 191, available 24 hours a day.
