Samut Sakhon –

A tragic accident struck Rama II Road on Thursday morning when a construction crane collapsed, crushing two vehicles and leaving at least two people dead.

The incident occurred at approximately 9:15 a.m. on Thursday (January 15th) in front of a hotel on the outbound lanes of Rama II Road. Emergency responders rushed to the scene, but hazardous conditions have so far prevented rescue teams from fully accessing the wreckage.

By 9:30 a.m., authorities confirmed that two fatalities had been recorded. Officials continue to monitor the situation and are working to secure the site before attempting further recovery operations.

Traffic police have urged motorists to avoid Rama II Road and seek alternative routes while rescue and safety operations are underway.
