Jeeno Thitikul Captures First Honda LPGA Thailand Title in Pattaya on Home Soil

Pattaya, Thailand – In a triumphant display of skill and composure, Thailand’s world No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul claimed victory at the 2026 Honda LPGA Thailand, securing her eighth career LPGA Tour win and her first triumph in her national open.

Thitikul, playing at Siam Country Club’s Old Course in front of an enthusiastic home crowd, closed out the tournament with a solid 4-under-par 68 in the final round to finish at 23-under-par overall. She edged out Japan’s Chizzy Iwai by a single stroke, with South Korea’s Hyo Joo Kim finishing close behind in third.

The 23-year-old Thai star entered the final day with a two-shot lead after strong performances throughout the week: an opening 67, a bogey-free 9-under 63 on her birthday in the second round, and a 6-under 66 on Saturday that featured birdies on her closing three holes. Her consistent play and ability to handle pressure from challengers proved decisive on Sunday.

This victory marks a historic milestone for Thitikul, as she becomes only the third Thai golfer to win the Honda LPGA Thailand in its history. The win is especially meaningful on home soil, where Thitikul first competed in the event as a 14-year-old sponsor invite and has long dreamed of lifting the trophy.

“Playing as world No. 1 in my home means so much, not just to me, but to my team and all the Thai people who can be proud,” Thitikul had said earlier in the week. Her performance delivered on that sentiment, inspiring fans and adding another chapter to her remarkable career.

The Honda LPGA Thailand continues to showcase top talent on one of Asia’s premier stages, and Thitikul’s dominant showing really shows her status as the game’s current standout.
