A crude oil tanker operated by Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited (Bangchak) has successfully arrived at the Bangchak Sriracha refinery port after departing from the Middle East, the company announced on April 8th, 2026.
According to a statement from Bangchak, the tanker reached the port in the evening of April 7th and is now safely unloading its cargo of crude oil in preparation for the refining process. The delivery will help ensure a continuous supply of petroleum products to consumers.
The vessel carried approximately 700,000 barrels of crude oil.

Bangchak confirmed that the transportation and delivery of crude oil for its two refineries, the Bangchak Phra Khanong Refinery and the Bangchak Sriracha Refinery, are proceeding according to their established plan.
As of now, the company maintains crude oil reserves sufficient to support production for about two months. Bangchak continues to closely monitor the situation to ensure smooth energy procurement and product distribution.
This arrival comes amid heightened attention on maritime routes in the region, including the Strait of Hormuz, following earlier diplomatic efforts that facilitated safe passage for Thai tankers. The company has previously expressed gratitude to the Thai government, particularly the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as authorities in Iran and Oman for their coordination in line with international law.

The successful delivery shows Bangchak’s commitment to maintaining stable energy supplies for Thailand despite global logistical challenges.
