This is to inspect, advise, and supervise commercial establishments in preparation for the influx of tourists during the Songkran Festival 2026 (P.S. 2569). The operation is a team effort involving the Department of Provincial Administration, the Royal Thai Police, the Metropolitan Police Bureau, the Immigration Bureau, the Tourism Police Bureau, and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, along with relevant executives and officials who attended the event in full force. Pol. Lt. Col. Singkham Kamyot, Director of the Investigation and Legal Affairs Division, delivered the operational report.

During the ceremony, the Deputy Director-General explained the importance of inter-agency teamwork in visiting, advising, and supervising various establishments, including hotels, non-hotel accommodations, entertainment venues, and similar service businesses. The focus is on ensuring they implement appropriate safety measures and fully comply with relevant laws.
The operation seeks to build confidence in safety and security for tourists, particularly during the Songkran Festival when large numbers of visitors are expected. It aligns with the Thai government’s policy to enhance the safety of lives and property of both citizens and visitors, while promoting tourism through strict law enforcement.
The drive follows directives from Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul to maintain social order, ensure peace and stability, and achieve the key objective of “relieving suffering and enhancing well-being” for the people.

For this operation, inspection teams will focus on key areas in Bangkok, including Khao San Road, Siam, Silom, Asoke, and RCA. Officials will conduct close supervision and provide guidance to business operators to raise safety standards and create greater confidence among both Thai and foreign tourists during the Songkran Festival period.
