Thai authorities on Friday, August 21st, conducted coordinated search operations at three locations in Pattaya City, targeting suspected networks using Thai nominees to hold land and operate businesses worth hundreds of millions of Baht, especially juristic persons, on behalf of foreigners, in alleged violation of the Foreign Business Act B.E. 2542 (1999).
5. Sixteen-year-old Rattikan “Nene Royal” Amloy, a rising talent from Phuket, departed this morning from Phuket International Airport bound for the United States, where she will compete in the America’s Got Talent Live Shows on August 25th.
6. The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB), together with the Crime Suppression Division (CSD), has dismantled a major scam network operating across Thailand, arresting 30 suspects linked to a sophisticated call‑center fraud that cost one elderly victim her life savings of more than 12 million baht.
7. Phuket police are investigating a violent clash in Patong after a group of more than 20 teenagers stormed the beachfront early Friday morning, leaving a 17‑year‑old boy critically wounded by gunfire and a 15‑year‑old injured in a beating.
