In the early hours of Saturday morning (August 29th), a passenger bus traveling the Hat Yai–Phuket route was involved in a serious accident in Phang Nga.
The vehicle reportedly veered off the road and collided with a roadside electricity pole near the Koh Kloi bus terminal in Takua Thung district at approximately 4 a.m.
Emergency responders from Phang Nga rescue units rushed to the scene, where multiple passengers were found injured. Some individuals were trapped inside the bus, requiring immediate assistance to be freed from the wreckage.
Authorities have not yet released the exact number of casualties, but initial reports confirm several injuries. Rescue teams continue to provide medical support and transport victims to nearby hospitals.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash, while officials work to ensure the safety of the area and restore power affected by the damaged pole.
