Thai National police seize 400 kilograms of heroin and over one million methamphetamine pills from 13 drug suspects in various operations

The Royal Thai Police have seized 400 kilograms of heroin and 1,042,000 pills of methamphetamine from 13 suspects in various operations this week.

A team of the national police led by General Manoo Makmok revealed the seizure to the media.

Police first arrested Mr. Boonrit Songsang, 23, Ms. Kanya Pasarnpot, 32, Mr Anan Nokkong, 37 and Mr Weerachai Kumpairan, 26.

Two suspects were arrested at a gas station in Petchaburi and two in Nakhon Si Thammarat.

Seized from them were one million pills of methamphetamine hidden in a truck.

They have been charged with illegal possession of methamphetamine pills with intent to sell.

In the second case police arrested Ms. Saharat Nakonwong, 38, Anuwat Tuenpradit, 37 a 17 year old male teenager, Mr. Ja, 43 and Jue Saeher, 37 and Ms. Namfon Chaiklahan, 34.

They were arrested in Nakhon Sawan. Seized from them were 400 kilograms of heroin valued at 115 million baht. They have been charged with illegal possession of heroin with intent to sell.

In a third case police arrested Mr. Mueang Naeuou, 57, a Burmese national living in Bangkok.

Seized from him were 4.2 pills of methamphetamine. He has been charged with illegal possession of methamphetamine pills with intent to sell and overstaying.

In the final case police arrested Mr. Kwanchai Bootra, age not given, following an arrest warrant in Petchabun for illegal possession of methamphetamine pills and ammunition.

Police have also arrested Ms. Rungtiwa Butra following an arrest warrant in Pathum Thani. She was arrested in Petchabun.

Seized from her were a house, land and two cars which were valued at a total of 10 million baht. She has been charged with money laundering.
