More rains and strong winds triggered by tropical storm ‘Goni’ forecast in Upper Thailand from this Thursday

Thailand’s Meteorological Department has announced this morning, November 2, that more rains with strong winds triggered by tropical storm ‘Goni’ are forecast until this Saturday in upper Thailand.

The ‘Goni’ storm over the Philippines has moved into the middle South China Sea with the maximum sustained winds of about 65 km/hr. It is moving west and likely to be downgraded before making landfall over middle Vietnam from November 4th to 5th.

The landfall in middle Vietnam will likely result in more rains with strong winds in Upper Thailand from November 5th to 7th.

The Meteorological Department also warns people to beware of the severe conditions that may cause flash floods and water runoff during a certain period.
