National –
Air quality in Upper Thailand and Bangkok and its vicinities are now reaching unhealthy levels caused by a thick smog of PM2.5 air pollutants that have been present in Thailand early this week.
High pressure and slightly light cold winds are hovering in upper Thailand, causing a rise of temperatures with cool air with morning fog. The mountain peaks in northern Thailand are forecast cool to cold. People in the North and the Northeast should be aware of the dangers of traveling through the foggy areas, according to the Thai Meteorological Department.

However, the light cold winds also affect the significant accumulation and the increase of dust and PM2.5 in certain areas especially from November 19 until the 21st, according to the Pollution Control Department.
A thick and gray cloud of air pollution was seen this morning in several districts in the Bangkok area and some Northern provinces of Thailand. The level of PM2.5 air pollution in Samut Sakhon, Samut Prakan, Chonburi, Suphanburi, Khon Kaen, and Nong Khai is also reportedly reaching a level that can be harmful to sensitive groups since this morning.

Meanwhile, volunteers from the Armed Forces Development Command of Royal Thai Armed Forces had conducted a water spray test to reduce PM 2.5 dust particles at the Armed Forces in Chaengwattana area of the capital and at Buddhavijjalaya College in Bang Khen district.
The preparation of vehicles and other water spray equipment has to be conducted before being operated in several areas, accordingly with the rise and intensity of air pollution level in the city.
