Prime Minister to visit South Thailand tomorrow to visit flood-ravaged areas

Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan O’Cha will be making a personal visit to South Thailand tomorrow, December 7th, to tour flood-ravaged provinces and offer moral support.

The visit was confirmed earlier today by Anucha Burapachaisri, the spokesperson for the Prime Minister.

Prime Minister Prayut will visit Nakhon Si Thammarat to review the overall flood situation, which according to official reports is now seeing flood waters decreasing, and to offer emergency survival kits to local residents impacted by the situation. He will also be meeting with relevant local government officials who will brief the Prime Minister on the situation as well as provide a tour of the area that has seen a number of deaths and devastation over the past week.

The Prime Minister is also set to chair a meeting with relevant government agencies and officials in Nakhon Si Thammarat on long term flood prevention management. You can read more about the situation in the South below:
