RECAP: Thailand reports 832 domestic Covid-19 Coronavirus infections, with vast majority in Samut Sakhon

Thailand discovered 832 domestic cases out of a total of 386 Covid-19 Coronavirus infections in the past 24 hours, with a vast majority discovered in Samut Sakhon during proactive case finding.

About 793 infections are discovered from the proactive approach, mostly in Samut Sakhon with 782 while the minority of cases were found in Maha Sarakam with 6 and Bangkok with 5. All of them are now at provincial state quarantine and field hospitals under the supervision of public health authorities. Most of them are migrant workers living at certain locations with no to limited exposure to the general public.

A number of 39 domestic infections were found in Samut Sakhon with 32, Bangkok 5, and Ratchaburi 2. Most of them are asymptomatic, according to CCSA assistant spokesperson Apisamai Srirangsan.

About 899 people fully recovered in the past 24 hours and have been released from field hospitals and quarantine centers. Thailand has now had a total of 19,618 cases with 12,514 recoveries and a total of 77 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
