Thailand discovered 783 domestic infections among 795 new Covid-19 Coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, CCTV spokesperson Taweesin Visanuyothin announced this morning, February 3rd.
A total of 759 infections were found in Samut Sakhon during proactive case findings in major factories and local communities, primarily migrant worker dormitories. Most of them were migrant workers from Myanmar and are asymptomatic. All of the patients are now at provincial state quarantine and field hospitals under the supervision of public health authorities.
The other 24 infections were reported in Samut Sakhon with 18, Bangkok 4, Tak 1, and Maha Sarakham 1. They are both Thai and migrant workers and are now isolated at local hospitals for treatment.
As of today, 784 people fully recovered in the past 24 hours and have been released from field hospitals and quarantine centers. Thailand has now reached a total of 21,249 cases with 14,001 recoveries and a total of 79 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
