Thai TV actor remains under arrest for allegedly stabbing girlfriend to death in Bangkok residence

Bangkok –

TV actor Thanapat “Toy Toy” Thanachakulphisan, 21, was arrested for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend to death during a heated argument at his residence in Bangkok in the early hours of this morning, August 6th.

The body of the 25-year-old victim, who was identified as Chatsaran Suwannakit, was discovered at his place in Khlong Sam Wa District with at least 20 stab wounds on her body as soon as police and rescue volunteers arrived at the scene.

Thanapat, who stars in the Thai BL television series “Why R U The Series”, was reportedly waiting for the officials at the scene with a shocked expression. A knife, approximately 5 inches long, was discovered on the floor next to his side.

The actor allegedly told investigators that he was drinking with his girlfriend at around 10:00 PM. last night, Thursday, when a quarrel broke out about his work in the entertainment industry. She eventually told him to leave the house and began threatening him with a kitchen knife, according to him.

According to his statement to the police, he feared that she would stab herself, so he tried to disarm her but eventually ended up stabbing the victim to death during the struggle. He claimed it was an accident, despite her being stabbed twenty times.

Initially, the officials were not convinced of his statement. He is now under police custody for further interrogation.
